Black History Month Tours
Black History Month presents an opportunity to explore and reflect upon the cultures and communities of African Americans and people of African descent around the world. At the Mott-Warsh Collection, we honor this legacy and celebrate the fine art contributions of artists of the African diaspora all year round.
MW Gallery’s current exhibit, Examining Identity Construction: Selections from the Mott-Warsh Collection, explores the dynamics of identity and the visual representation of African Americans. Artists include Nick Cave, Camille Billops, Sanford Biggers, Elizabeth Catlett, Mark Steven Greenfield, Ayana Jackson, Whitfield Lovell, Mario Moore, Kehinde Wiley, Carrie Mae Weems, Pat Ward Williams, and more.
